We have an exciting career opportunity for an Engineer based at our Molteno packhouse near Grabouw. Reporting to the General Manager: Engineering, the ideal candidate needs to have technical problem-solving skills, analytical approach and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
Asset Management
- Develop and maintain physical assets on CMMS
- Manage asset acquisitions and disposals, including location, condition, and value
- Assist with the implementation of scheduled and corrective maintenance programs
- Perform analysis, report, and recommend improvements based on maintenance data
- Conduct audits and reconciliations of asset inventories
- Support budgeting efforts related to asset lifecycle costing
- Oversee daily operations at construction sites when required
- Supervision and coordination of main and sub-contractors
- Monitor HSSE regulations and report
- Maintain site records, daily logs, inspections, and reports
- Report on project progress
- Perform remeasurement of BoQs and review claims
- Ensure work is performed according to design, specifications, and quality
- Handle site logistics
- Prepare and assist with analysis and preparation of dashboards
- Maintain site records, including drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
- Adapt and support the integration of 4IR technologies (and possibly 5IR)
- Bachelor of Engineering degree (B.Eng)
- Registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer with ECSA
- Valid SA driver’s license
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building, and other relevant codes
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project)
- Proficient in draughting (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Preferably 10 years’ experience
- Excellent computer skills – MS Office, specifically Excel (Advanced)
- Experience in CMMS
- Good understanding of the OHS and Environmental Acts, regulations, and relevant codes
