MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

We have an exciting career opportunity for a self-disciplined and confident individual who will perform a supporting role to our Farming Business. Your ability to work independently and accurately in a pressurised environment while building interpersonal relationships will be critical for success. Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, you will be required to travel between the three operational sites in the Grabouw/Vyeboom area with your base office in Grabouw.

Responsibilities:

Support the farming business unit with their financial analysis and improvement initiatives while acting as link between operational and finance departments
Compile, analyse and interpret monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
Facilitate forecasting and budgeting process
Cost accounting exercises to support operational KPI’S
Internal audit and internal control functions
Formulate activity-based cost and revenue models to improve operational decision-making and profitability
Manage and challenge capital expenditure requirements
Review procurement practices, controls and disciplines to ensure compliance to best practise
Ensure compliance of commercial agreements with regards to supplier warranties, rebates, discounts and payment terms.

Requirements:

Relevant BCom qualification with completed SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA articles
5 – 7 Years’ experience in a relevant or similar environment
Advanced Excel Proficiency
Performing accurately while in a pressurised/seasonal business environment
Ability to build key interpersonal relationships with stakeholders
Drivers’ license and own transport required
