Fruitways is a leading agri-business in South Africa. We specialise in the growing, packing and marketing of apples and pears to retailers, traders and wholesalers around the globe.

PALLET INTAKE SUPERVISOR

We are looking for a self-disciplined, independent individual who is focused on producing high quality, detailed work within a team environment. Reporting to the Packing Manager, the Pallet Intake Supervisor will be based at Melpack packing operation, part of our Packing Division, in the Vyeboom area.

Responsibilities:

Monitor palletising of all packed cartons according to specifications.
Ensure accurate intake of cartons/pallets on Vitrax stock system.
Coordinate PPECB inspections for all export pallets.
Writing and maintaining batch balancing report.
Manage all the uncompleted pallets and rejected stock as well as repacking.
Ensure compliance to food safety procedures and standards, including BRC and HACCP.
Supervise a team of 10 including scanners, inspection assistants, forklift driver and data clerk.
Ensuring pallet cold chain is maintained.

Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric
Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
1 – 2 Years’ relevant Fruit Industry experience
Leadership ability or proven experience
Strong attention to detail
Ability to maintain complete and accurate records
Good communication and computer skills
Experience and knowledge of Vitrax and storage protocols will be advantageous
Experience with Titan will be advantageous
Willingness to work extended hours as per operational requirements
